Season’s Greetings 2018

Beloved,

As day follows day into oblivion

And morning follows evening steadily

Another year will soon be gone

And a new one will dawn surely

                       A year unknown to us afore

                       Which we therefore must handle with prayer

                       As we travel day to day along paths new to all

                       We must cast our burdens on the Burden-Bearer

Thank God our great Abba-Father

Is the Alpha as well as the Omega

He knows the end of the journey before we start

He is our unchangeable, guiding Morning Star

                       And so we lift you up to Him in prayer

                      That as you start the new year well

               You will neither fail, fall nor falter

               So that you will end the new year gloriously well.

May our God make you stronger

Much stronger than all your foes

And your fortunes much better than the outgoing year’s

While you remain fit from your head to your toes

        May your mockers be silenced permanently

                       Their laughter frozen in their mouths

                       As God visits you and yours directly

                       Again and again in the coming months

May God’s Wind blow on in your favour

Clearing all devilish obstacles along your path

Crowning your efforts with success and honour

Granting you physical, material and spiritual wealth

                       May your journey forward be unstoppable

                       Your journey upward remain unhindered

               In all areas of life be indomitable

               As you render more Divine services than you’ve aforetime rendered

May your sun rise rapidly again

Your light shine brighter and brighter

All your losses may you fully regain

As your glorious days burst upon you in the new year.
